Evaluation of Antithyroid Antibodies in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome of Reproductive Women

Background: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is common but a treatable cause of infertility in reproductive women. Thyroid hormone abnormality commonly seen Antithyroid antibodies have been detected women with PCOS. The aim the present study to evaluate antithyroid women.
 Materials and methods: A hospital based cross-sectional comparative was conducted outpatient Department Obstetrics Gynaecology CMCH, Institute Nuclear Medicine Allied Subject Biochemistry CMC. Eighty (80) PCOS diagnosed by ultrasonography were taken nonprobability convenient sampling, considered as group another twenty (20) healthy taken, B. Important variables this serum anti-TPO antibody, anti-Tg TSH, age, menstrual history, hirsutism, waist circumference BMI.
 Results: This revealed statistically significant higher prevalence autoimmune thyroiditis cases comparison (32.5 % 37.5% patients had increased respectively). Mean significantly than that group. TSH not group.52.5%, 47.5% oligomenorrhea amenorrhea respectively, 21.2% 68.8% overweight & obese 77.5% central obese.
 Conclusion: High thyroid autoimmunity euthyroid refers importance screening only levels also antibody level during investigation thereby early diagnosis management associated PCOS.
